Overview

Soulsync is a high-stakes, PvE multiplayer roguelike where you and three friends team up to survive a treacherous, corrupted sci-fi fantasy world.

You play as elite mercenaries employed by Mordred Acquisitions Incorporated, a ruthless corporate monolith. Sent into a volatile dungeon under the guise of a standard run, your squad is secretly being used as guinea pigs to study an ancient, volatile curse.

When the curse triggers, it binds your lifeforce together: you win as one, or die as one.

Plot

   A group of 6 adventurers embarks on a dungeon run as employees of the dungeon-running monolith, Mordred Acquisitions Incorporated. 

   Unbeknownst to the party, their employers plan to use them as guinea pigs to study a mysterious curse that lies within the dungeon. Upon clearing the first floor, the party is struck by the curse, linking their lifeforce together. In the ensuing chaos, the dungeon collapses, separating their leader from the rest of the group.

   Now a party of five, the survivors flee, with some holding onto the fading hope that their leader may still be alive. As they trek through forests and swamps, they find the terrain riddled with evidence that the company is invading and destroying natural environments for its own selfish goals. Through this journey, the party bonds, overcomes their differences, and a new hero rises to fill the role of "leader."

   Their path leads to an ancient forge swarmed by hostile company subordinates. At its heart, they find the architect of their demise: a company board member who intends to weaponize the party’s curse.  After revealing the captive former leader, the board member attempts a final execution to tie up the project's loose ends. Still, the party triumphs in the end, escaping the company’s grasp and rescuing their imprisoned comrade.

Tyr

An old-school veteran brought out of retirement for the love of the game, Tyr is out to prove to the younger generation how it’s done.

  • Playstyle: Ambush Predator & Zone Control. Armed with a wrist-mounted crossbow and a lethal arsenal of traps, any target in Tyr's sights is "dead on sight."


A professional hitman who tried to play the long game by climbing the corporate ladder to kill the CEO. The company caught on and dumped him in the dungeon.

  • Playstyle: Stealth & Close-Quarters Combat. A master of evasion who dives in and out of the fray, striking with lethal, lightning-fast succession.



Born into a powerful corporate dynasty, Percival took up dangerous dungeon running to finally prove their mettle to a dismissive family.

  • Playstyle: Frontline Brawler.  A noble warrior who charges head-on into battle, shattering enemy lines armed only with a sword, a shield, and pure determination.



A mass-produced prototype created to study magic. The company sent her into the dungeon to test a terrifying theory: since the curse only affects the living, does this android possess a soul?

  • Playstyle: Heavy Crowd Control. Wielding a massive cyber-hammer, she wreaks absolute havoc on the battlefield with earth-shaking swings of immense power.



Raised in the slums, Felix stumbled upon a mysterious black-market grimoire. He’s dungeon running for the ultimate high-stakes score to pull himself out of the gutter.

  • Playstyle: Minion Master. An opportunistic tactician who excels at summoning and commanding a chaotic variety of creatures to do his bidding.
